There are enough water spots on the inside of your windows to make you want to stay away from windows. But who wants a gloomy house? It’s time to take the necessary steps to remove those pesky water spots.
First, fill a spray bottle with vinegar and apply it liberally over the stained glass until it’s gone or until you start feeling lightheaded. To keep from making yourself sick, do this in small bursts outside (or somewhere else without a lot of carpet) and don’t inhale too deep when spraying up close. For really stubborn stains that won’t budge, mix in some baking soda and scrub with a sponge or cloth until it’s clean again.
If it’s just a few water spots and you don’t want to use vinegar (or you have pets, or kids, or other such things that might get into the vinegar), skip the vinegar and go straight for the rubbing alcohol. Fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray away on those water spots until they are gone.
For hard water stains living on faucets and showerheads, mix in some dish soap with the rubbing alcohol and scrub away until the stains have gone. This should be performed outside or in your bathroom/kitchen sink while the shower is off.
