How to Cut Glass

You have to measure the glass you want to cut. If you want to cut ten inch piece of glass measure 9 7/8 inches. Make your mark there., Set your square to the glass and make sure you have the glass covered with duct tape to prevent slivers from cutting you.

You need to oil your glass cutter at this point unless you have a self lubricating cutter. Placing the cutter firmly against the glass, in one movement run your glass cutter over the glass to cut it. Turn the glass over and use the ball on the end of the cutter to run along the score and tap until the glass breaks apart. You finish up by sanding the area you have cut
